Codie Aljets Art

Mixed Media Artist Codie Aljets grew up in a small rural town in Southern IL. He was around his family business most of his young life. They owned mechanic shops and a body shop so he started working with his hands at a young age. In 2012 Codie and his wife, Brie, moved to Crested Butte and decided this is where they wanted to start their family. They now reside North of Gunnison with their 7 Year old son, Cullem. In November 2021 Codie was asked to leave Crested Butte Fire Protection DIstrict due to medical directives. Codie had served with CBFPD since 2013 and had been full time since 2019. He decided to pursue his dream of being a full time artist. Codie had a perspective change in April 2020. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. Upon going through this he decided to follow his true passion and go full time as an artist with his family's support. Codie has now been cancer free for over 3 yrs and is committed to his family time and creating some of the coolest metal art on the planet. He is confident that this is just a sample of the creativity and detailed work to come! You can see his works at or follow him on social media where he shows his process and videos.
