Margaret Johnson
Margaret is a multi-passionate artist. The pottery classes she took as a child gave her a new way of looking at her world. Her mother was a watercolor artist. Margaret would spend hours at the kitchen table, watching her mother paint and learn from her. As a teenager buying a film camera became a top priority. While she still loves the camera, she continues to grow as an artist in other directions, like mixed media painting, oil painting, botanical illustration, and monotype printmaking.

Reverist Design
Hi! My name is Ellen and I love to build and design for the benefit of others. I was born into a family of artists, builders, and engineers. My grandpa taught me how to use his band saw when I was just 7 years old, and ever since then you couldn’t keep me out of the wood shop if you tried. I attended CU Boulder for a Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Design, and Western Colorado University for a Masters of Arts in Environmental Management. My mix of passions in art, design, and the environment have led me on the path that I am on now. In my work I use many “scraps” of wood that other woodworkers would otherwise burn or send to the landfill. Because of my unique process I am able to reclaim these woods and create something new and beautiful from them. Although I appreciate many mediums, my true passion is with wood and woodwork. I find beauty in each and every piece of wood, and I strive to share that beauty through my art and design work.

Shannon Dunn Original Art and Commission
A Chicago-area native, Shannon Dunn attended Illinois State University where she studied Art and Education. Once a K-12 art teacher, Shannon now focuses her energy full time on creating art. She is a multi-discplinary artist working 2-dimensionally with Oil paints, Acrylic and Ink and 3-dimensionally with Sculpture materials and Resin. She is primarily a narrative surrealist, although her style and subject matter vary depending on where her imagination takes her. Shannon’s artwork is largely inspired by the natural world. Her art practice serves as both the interpretive process and product of her life and surroundings. She considers herself a visual storyteller; wherein figures, animals and natural elements become metaphors for the human experience. Ultimately, her goal as an artist is to cultivate connection with the Divine, the natural world, other people and herself through curiosity and exploration driven pursuit of visual storytelling. Shannon’s work has been shown in various solo and group exhibitions at galleries and public venues throughout Colorado. When Shannon is not creating in her studio at https://www.thesluicecos.com/, you can find her at her cabin in Crested Butte, trail running and biking, paddling rivers and reservoirs, cooking and baking for her family and friends and snuggling with her beloved pups. She currently resides in Colorado Springs, CO with her husband and two children.

Linsey Bachofer (Sisu Studios)
Sisu Studios embodies the Finnish philosophy of courage and determination within each design. Linsey Bachofer lives in Crested Butte and is often inspired by the stunning landscapes of the valley. Originally from Duluth Minnesota, Linsey earned a bachelor's degree in art education and a Master's in art and non-profit management. Her years of experience as a mixed media artist and illustrator give her work a uniquely organic and highly finished feel. The word "sisu" holds special meaning for Linsey because while it is difficult to define in English, it captures the work ethic that was instilled in her while working on her grandparent's farm and is a reminder of the spirit people exude when doing something hard like climbing a mountain, learning a new skill, or working toward a better world. And somewhere in that tiny word, it reminds us that a life well-lived is spent outside. When she isn't creating, Linsey can be found directing events at CB Nordic, or enjoying the trails with her family.

Codie Aljets Art
Mixed Media Artist Codie Aljets grew up in a small rural town in Southern IL. He was around his family business most of his young life. They owned mechanic shops and a body shop so he started working with his hands at a young age. In 2012 Codie and his wife, Brie, moved to Crested Butte and decided this is where they wanted to start their family. They now reside North of Gunnison with their 7 Year old son, Cullem. In November 2021 Codie was asked to leave Crested Butte Fire Protection DIstrict due to medical directives. Codie had served with CBFPD since 2013 and had been full time since 2019. He decided to pursue his dream of being a full time artist. Codie had a perspective change in April 2020. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. Upon going through this he decided to follow his true passion and go full time as an artist with his family's support. Codie has now been cancer free for over 3 yrs and is committed to his family time and creating some of the coolest metal art on the planet. His highly textured and deeply dimensional mixed media collection echo the weatherworn organic terrain of North American landscapes, arousing the observers imagination with adventure and a sense of connection.

Chelsea Lord
I began my training as a visual artist at Western Colorado University in Gunnison. I fell in love with traditional printmaking techniques and loved to portray the beauty of the Gunnison Valley. Later I was introduced to screen printing at Cabrio College in Santa Cruz California. After years working in two dimensions, I more recently have been interested in using locally foraged and other natural materials to create wreaths and sculptural pieces that incorporate antler and skulls.
