I am an adventurer at heart with a love for the experience of exploration and curiosity. I grew up surrounded by art, particularly fibers, with my seamstress mom teaching me how to sew from a young age. Those early years snowballed into a love for all things fiber: knitting, macrame, cross-stitch and weaving. For me, the experience of exploration extends not only to the outside world but the vast world that is our own bodies, minds and souls. Art is a practice of presence - a gateway to dive into the heart and what it longs to say. It all comes together with much of my art pulling inspiration from both inner and outer nature.

Sama of OH BE JOYFUL BAGS creates functional and sustainable bags, wallets and smaller accessories from white water rafts that can no longer float. Instead of these much loved boats being wasted, they are deconstructed and then upcycled into fun, fashionable and sustainable products to live life another way.

Jessica Howard is a fifth generation cowgirl from the Gunnison Valley. She started making handmade tack for horses during COVID and has been focused on the comfort of the horse ever since.

My name is Daniela, I'm the creator and owner of Local Knot. I am a Colorado gal that has a passion for the outdoors and channeling my creativity on my days off. I found a love for macrame after I picked up a DIY plant hanger kit at Hobby Lobby. I continued to create for a few years just for fun then decided to turn this passion into a business. My goal is to create authentic macrame but also cultivate a community that supports other small businesses. I love to incorporate my appreciation for nature into my pieces. I use driftwood found while exploring lakes and rivers, feathers from ducks hunted and antlers from long hikes through the woods.
